Then we had them pick 2 different seeds, one being a flower and the other being a vegetable. They filled up their cup with soil and made a hole in the middle so they could tuck the seeds to sleep. For vegetables they got to pick from carrots, tomato's, radishes and kale. For their flowers they could choose from sunflower, marigolds, sweet Williams and Zinnas.
After we got done watering them, we set them down by our windows in hopes of them getting some sun, so they can grow big and strong like us children.
Today we also got to have small group time and had each of the children measure flowers with cubes to see how tall each flower was, and to see which flowers was the smallest.
