Welcome back Orange friends! The children have been doing a great job getting back to the groove of classroom and have been super excited to be back. This week we are going some flower and spring explorations.
On Tuesday we had a table set up with a vase of flowers and paint with similar colors of the flowers, we added white paper and paint brushes in hopes of the children creating their own processed art.
We also set up an activity, that would help our class look more colorful. The children got to make suncatchers in the shape of flowers using color tissue paper and vinyl sticker paper. They actually came out pretty good.
The weather has been so beautiful outside we have been spending most of our time out. Now that everyone in class is officially 3, we get to play in the "big kid" playground. With the new playground the kids have been loving playing in the mud kitchen. Today I thought it would be fun to bring water out and let them explore the endless possibilities of what they can "cook".
We had two of our friends that used milk carts to be able to pull leaves for their tree soup, YUMMY.
The class then moved our water play to the outdoor classroom. Our water play first started with the children wanting water in the sandbox. To our surprise the waterspout had a spray setting and it turned in a dance water party.
Look "Miss. Maria a rainbow!!" - I.S
Needless to say, Wednesday was a splash of a day 😎
